Jay Spearing admits he needs to show his worth to the club so the owner's don't bring in reinforcements in January. If the latter does happen, Spearing chances of playing week in week out will be severely limited especially if the player that's brought in is a big name player.
Unfortunately Spearing only made things harder for himself when he was sent off in the game against Fulham where he replaced the injured Lucas. It is not a surprise to many that he got red carded because he is known to make reckless challenges.
Being a feisty player is in itself not wrong but because Liverpool already lost Lucas and is hoping to win at least 1 cup this season and get that lucrative Champions League spot, the owners may just splash the cash in January.
