Evolution of the rocking chair

Mum's always loved her old lazy chair but she couldn't take her eyes off the modern rocking chair (see below) we saw at Boulevard shopping mall in Kuching.

Although it 'rocks' as it should, given the name, the mechanics and design is slightly different from the traditional rocking chair below. It cost RM 320.00, which is more than the traditional rocking chair but if you really like the rocking chair and want something that looks sophisticated and can blend in with your existing modern furniture, this would be a good buy. It's easy to use and suits both the young and old. The seat is also adjustable unlike the traditional rocking chair.

Sadly, we couldn't buy the chair we saw because they're out of stock and only have the display unit. We were told by the salesperson that we'd have to wait about 2 months or so for the new stock to arrive.

If we end up buying it, I can't wait to see how it'll look in our living room when placed alongside our Lorenzo furniture. One things for sure, it won't look out of place like mum's lazy chair. This is arguably one of the best things to come out of China.

Liverpool managed to win without Suarez with Bellamy and Gerrard both scoring. Andy Carroll didn't score but played really well. I'm still not sure about our chances of finishing 4th because Spurs still have 2 games in hand and Arsenal have been playing well. We still need to sign a proven goalscorer next month when the transfer window opens or we'll struggle especially when Suarez doesn't play.

Now I know some of you may think that the list is incomplete but the ones I've named are what I think are the best.

I've tried NZ oysters, butter prawns, scallops, sea cucumber, Tasmanian tuna and Norwegian salmon but still prefer the ones I've named above.

I don't hate meat but there's something about seafood that makes me like em' more than meat.

North Koreans mourn the death of Kim

It's strange to see North Koreans weeping for Kim considering what he was but I'm reminded of what my South Korean friend told me when I was studying in Australia few years ago.

He told me that North Korea is so 'isolated' from the world that some of the women there do not even know how to wear sanitary pads and had to be taught how.

Apparently, despite what you might have heard about the North-South Korean relationship, South Korea gives aid to North Korea and sanitary pads for women are among them apart from medical supplies, clothes and food.

Hopefully, Kim's death would mean the country really opening up to the world. If China can do it, so can North Korea. The transition, if any will be difficult in the beginning but nothing is easy in the beginning.

Liverpool players still support Suarez despite guilty verdict

A joint statement was released by Liverpool players on the club website.

The statement read: "Luis Suárez is our team‑mate and our friend and as a group of players we are shocked and angered that he has been found guilty by the FA. We know he is not racist. We are a squad of many different nationalities and backgrounds. All of us support the club's commitment to fighting racism. All of us accept there is no place in the game for any form of discrimination. As a group of players we totally support the Kick it Out Campaign. We have lived, trained and played with Luis for almost 12 months and we don't recognise the way he has been portrayed. We will continue to support Luis through this difficult period, and as a popular and respected friend of all his team-mates, he will not walk alone."

Suarez was found guilty for racially abusing Patrice Evra and was banned for eight games and fined 40,000 pounds.

Liverpool have 14 days in which to appeal against the extent of the FA's punishment once they receive the commission's findings in writing.
